Bring photos, including ones you dislike

Inspiration photos tell us what you want. Photos of looks you don't like tell us just as much: too warm, too short, too blunt. Both make it far easier to land on the first try.

Be honest about maintenance

Platinum on naturally dark hair is stunning and requires a visit every five to six weeks. Balayage on the same head can stretch to four months. Neither is better — they're just different commitments, and we'd rather match you to the one that fits your life.
